Chin Brotherhood says CC and CB have had some success in jointly resisting the military council’s advance from Kalay Myo, says

June 19.

Chin Brotherhood spokesperson Salai Yaw Mang said at a press conference held by the Chin Brotherhood, a group of six Chin armed groups, on June 18 that the military council has been conducting offensives in northern Chin State, as well as in Kanpetlet and Mindat areas in southern Chin State, since late May.

“We started to encounter the military council column that came from Kalay Da-ka-sa at the end of May. There, as a joint column, we all defended together. There, both CB and CC, both CB and non-CC members, all joined together to defend and attack the column. There were successes. There were some weapons seized, there were light leaks, there were escapes, etc., but nothing was disclosed by mutual agreement,” said Salai Yaw Mang.

There are 6 Chin Brotherhood member groups: Kanpetlet Township, Matupi Township, Mindat Township, Mara, The Chin Brotherhood Group (CB) said that the military council has been completely cleared of the Falam area, and only Tetin town remains to be cleared of the military council, which is why it is believed that the military council has launched a military line from Kalay. The military council forces that advanced from Kalay in northern Chin State are currently in Mualpi village and are engaged in close combat, and the military line has not advanced from Mualpi village, and there have been few close combats in recent days.

Magway Region Pakokku Division 101 has set out with 126 military vehicles towards the Mindat area and has now reached the current Kanma area, Salai Yaw Mang said at a Chin Brotherhood press conference held yesterday.

“The military council is also launching an offensive in southern Chin State. The 101st Pakokku Division came out with 126 military vehicles. It came out around the end of May. The line of defense was cleared, including paramotors, aircraft, and bombers. It came out in that manner. At the moment, it has not reached Kanma from Pakokku. If it continues to move from Kanma, Pauk, Pauk is half the way between Pakokku and the military base. Pakokku and Mindat the military base are not even 100 miles away, so we are monitoring the situation, studying it, and preparing for it. If they advance further, we will be able to do so,” said Salai Yaw Mang, a spokesman for the Chin Brotherhood.
