CHO announces scholarship for those who have completed Nursing and Lab Science at an Indian university and will return to work in Chin State

Chin Health Organization (Chin Health Organization) announced on May 8 that it will provide scholarship for those who have completed Nursing and Lab Science at an Indian university and will return to work in Chin State.

Myanmar students who are at least 17 years old and have completed the current 12th grade in India or 12th grade in Myanmar and want to become Nurse (or Lab Technician) can apply for two (2) programs for Nursing at an Indian university, namely General Nursing and Midwifery course (GNM) which is 3 years including internship, and Basic B.Sc. Nursing – 4 years.

There is one program for Laboratory Technician, which is Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences (BMLS) which is 4 years including internship.

Students who have passed G-12 with a science degree in high schools in India or Myanmar can apply. Those who will attend with a Myanmar certificate must have the necessary documents and passports to legally enter India. Only five (5) students will be accepted for the 2025 academic year. The application link can be requested via messenger, according to Chin Health Organization (CHO).

If you are returning to Chin State after graduation, Chin Health Organization will assist with the application process. In addition, scholarships will be provided to students from remote areas where Chin State has a high need for health workers. After applying, the school will provide the scholarship only after receiving the acceptance letter. Those who will apply for the scholarship must continue to apply for the scholarship application process as specified by the Scholarship Board of Chin Health Organization and will be informed about the details, CHO stated.

Interested students, Chin Health Organization (CHO) also recommends that parents contact the school through the messenger chatbox if they want to know more about the school and the requirements to join the program.
