The military council carried out an airstrike on Sai Zang village in Tedim Township, northern Chin State, at around 11pm on April 9, without a fight, killing 6 family members including 2 children, according to Tedim residents.
A local resident told Chin World Media, “The airstrike was carried out at around 11pm last night with a 1,000-pound bomb. The entire family of 6, including a 5-year-old and a 10-year-old, was killed. Three houses were also destroyed, and more than 10 houses were damaged.”
The airstrike killed 5-year-old Tg Suan Deih Sian, a kindergartener; 10-year-old Lian Cing Sian Nuam, 14-year-old Tg Kim Deih Piang, 17-year-old Tg Kham Mun Van, 40-year-old Nu Cing Sen Don, Pa Pau Sian Kham, 43, was killed.
Another local man who was injured in the airstrike was also sent to Kalay, and locals say his condition is not very good because his injuries are so serious.
The military council dropped 1,000 pounds of bombs from the air at around 11 p.m. without a fight, leaving Tedim residents worried.
