On May 9, at around 10:30 p.m., the Military Council carried out two airstrikes on Mindat town in Chin State, causing minor injuries and damaging 15 government buildings and public houses, the Mindat Township People’s Administration announced on May 10.
On May 7, the Military Council also carried out an airstrike on Mindat town, damaging civilian buildings and causing civilian casualties.
The Military Council has been conducting airstrikes on Mindat town in recent days.
On December 21, 2024, the Chin Brotherhood, including CDF – Mindat, and allied groups captured Mindat town from the military council, and the current administration of Mindat town is being implemented by the Mindat Township People’s Administration.
