The military council has reportedly used cluster bombs in its three-day airstrikes on Mindat Township, Chin State.

The military council has carried out three consecutive days of airstrikes in Mindat Township, Chin State, and has also used cluster bombs, the Mindat Township People’s Administration announced on May 18.

On May 17, it was reported that evidence was found that the military council had used cluster bombs in a village in Circuit No. (1) of Mindat Township, and that around 10 bombs had exploded in the village.

The military council carried out three consecutive days of airstrikes on Mindat Township, from May 15 to May 16 and May 17, and that two local residents were killed and 11 others were injured as a result of the military council’s attacks on May 15.

The Mindat Township People’s Administration has also stated that the people of Mindat are in need of humanitarian assistance as the military council has been carrying out frequent airstrikes in Mindat Township since May, which has been cleared of the military council.
