April 13.
The Chin Charter Draft has been drafted and a conference to be convened and approved in the near future, the Interim Chin National Consultative Council (ICNCC) announced today, April 13, to mark the (4) anniversary of the Interim Chin National Consultative Council (ICNCC).
The Interim Chin National Consultative Council (ICNCC) is a state representative consultative council that participated in the initial formation of the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) and the National Unity Government (NUG). It is also responsible for all matters related to Chin State affairs under Part (2) of the Interim Constitutional Arrangement, Chapter (8), Section (52), and is a political and military organization that cooperates with the Chin Brotherhood, which was formed on (30) December 2023.
The Interim Chin National Consultative Council (ICNCC) has been reformed and reorganized into seven (7) groups. The Chin Charter has been drafted and a conference will be convened soon to approve it. The Chin Brotherhood has also occupied the towns of Kyin Dwey, Matupi, Mindat, Kanpetlet, and Falam in Chin State, the ICNCC/CB announced.
The ICNCC/CB also urged the armed groups in Chin State to avoid controversial history and hate speech in their fight against the common enemy, the military dictatorship.
Looking back at the situation in Chin State today, we have reached a time when the military dictatorship has fallen throughout Chin State and the entire Chin State is only a matter of time before the liberation of Chin State. Any disputes between the revolutionary forces will be considered as conflicts between partners and will be resolved only through peaceful means. The elections that the military council is trying to forcefully hold will not be held in Chin State at all. The ICNCC/CB issued a statement warning the Chin people not to participate in or support such attempts by the military council.
In addition, it is necessary to pay tribute to the heroes who sacrificed their lives and bodies in the struggle to end the military dictatorship and build federal democracy, and to respect and honor the CDMs who have continued to struggle despite the difficulties, abandoning their positions and privileges, and all the revolutionary people and supporters who are fighting in various ways to overthrow the military dictatorship.
The Interim Chin National Consultative Council (ICNCC) has six Chin armed groups: The Chin Brotherhood Group, which is composed of CDF – Mindat, CDF – Matupi, CNO/CNDF, CDF – Kanpetlet, PDF – Zoland, and MTC/MDF, is included.
