The Facebook page opened under the name Zomi National Party has no connection with the current political party that applied for registration, party applicants say

May 6.

The Facebook page opened under the name Zomi National Party on the current social network is not a page opened by the current political party that applied for registration, Zomi National Party, and therefore all the good and bad things written on the page do not belong to them, a leader of the political party applicant told Chin World Media.

“A social network page with the name Zomi National Party – ZNP has appeared. It has no connection with the current party that applied for registration. The logo, flag, etc. that are intended for registration are also not the same. There has been no activity since the application for registration as a political party,” a leader of the party applicant told Chin World Media.

The Union Election Commission (UEC) is continuing to review the application for the establishment of a political party by the Zomi National Party (Zomi National Party) in accordance with the rules and regulations under Section 3 of the Party Registration Law, the military council media reported on April 30.

“In response to the current changing situation in Myanmar, everyone has different opinions. We, the Zomi people, who believe that political problems should be resolved through political means, have come together and applied for the establishment of a political party,” the ZNP party applicant explained the reason for the move.

The military council has invited three parties, the Chin New Congress Party, the Khumi National Party, and the Zomi National Party, to contest the multi-party democratic general election to be held in December 2025 to represent Chin State.
