At around 12 noon today, May 19, the Military Council airstrikes targeted the area around the Tonzang township police station, causing some damage to buildings and injuring one civilian, according to local residents.
“The bomb hit the planning office under the police station. We haven’t heard of any damage to the CC troops. We also heard that they were able to take precautions and evade. One civilian was injured. There have been no more bombings so far,” said a Tonzang resident.
This was the second airstrike in the township since the Chinland Council’s joint forces took control of Tonzang on May 24, 2024, and the first airstrike on the city, according to local residents.
