May 15.

The Chin National Organization (CNO), a Chin armed resistance group based in Falam Township, issued a statement on May 14 apologizing to the residents of Falam for the destruction of homes and loss of property during the (5) months of battle for Falam town in Chin State.

The CNO also expressed its regret and sorrow at seeing the destruction of homes and churches in Falam town during the offensive to capture Falam town.

“We apologize in the name of God for not being able to protect all the property of the people in the town. We ask for your understanding here that we have put the victory of the battle as the most important thing and have tried to protect the town, and the people’s homes and property have been destroyed and lost,” the CNO said.

Some of the items found were also preserved and are planned to be returned to their rightful owners, and we ask parents to be patient and understand the mistakes and needs.

The battle for Falam township began on November 9, 2024, when the Chin Brotherhood group, including the CNO/CNDF, and allied groups launched an offensive and captured Falam township as a military council-free area on April 9, 2025, five months after the battle began.
