May 5.

The Chin National Front (CNF/CNA) AA soldier who died while being captured refused to eat any food since his arrival and vomited even after being given food. Officials called a doctor one night because he vomited, but he died without receiving any treatment, Chin National Front (CNF/CNA) spokesperson Salai Htet Ni told some media outlets today, May 5.

During the battle for Matupi last year, an AA soldier from the Chin National Front’s allied forces captured by the CNF/CNA died after being tortured in various ways, according to the released allied forces, according to a report by the Chin Brotherhood Group on May 4.

In June 2024, during the Chinland Council-led Operation CB, the Chinland Council and the CNF/A took advantage of the Chin Brotherhood Group and allied Arakan Army forces to engage in fierce fighting with the enemy council, resulting in clashes between the two groups, and the Chin Brotherhood Group and the Chinland Council members exchanging prisoners, the Chin Brotherhood Group said in a statement on May 4.

The Chinland Brotherhood , which is a group of six Chin armed groups, said in a statement on May 4 that the Chinland Brotherhood and the Chinland Council exchanged prisoners on March 29, 2025, in order to resolve the differences between the armed resistance groups fighting the military dictatorship and to demonstrate the unity desired by the Chin people.

The Chin Brotherhood also stated that it accepts that there may be ideological differences among its Chin National Revolution Organizations during the period of its struggle against the military dictatorship. It also understands that the current priority is to fight the common enemy, which is the most important task. On the other hand, it fully believes that the revolutionary organizations should meet and discuss with each other to find solutions to the difficult problems that arise between their national organizations.
