The Kanpetlet Township People’s Administration announced today, April 18, that the military council has carried out seven (7) airstrikes on Kanpetlet Township, Chin State, in April, destroying many buildings and killing one civilian and injuring another.
The military council used 300-pound and 500-pound bombs to bomb Kanpetlet Township. The airstrikes completely destroyed 18 civilian homes, partially damaged 30 others, and destroyed 14 department-owned buildings and a hostel, totaling 63 homes.
The people of Kanpetlet Township and the township are urged to pay special attention to airstrikes and to show solidarity, The Kanpetlet Township People’s Administration also urges everyone to help each other by providing well-organized and accurate information.
The day after the Chin Brotherhood Group and its allies captured Mindat Township, on December 22, 2024, the military council troops in Kanpetlet fled the town,and the CDF – Kanpetlet captured Kanpetlet Township without firing a single shot.
