In the next five years, the entire Chin State will be liberated, and in each region connected to our regions, we will continue to strive for the revolution in the coming year to achieve the goal of freeing ourselves from the military dictatorship and creating our own destiny, said CDF – Mindat Chief of Staff Salai Thang Chawn Phe.
In the past year, On December 21, the Chin Brotherhood Group and its allies captured Mindat town from the military council, and the Mindat Township People’s Administration continues to implement civilian administration in Mindat.
In Chin State, the military council controls only Hakha, Tedim, and Thantlang towns, while the remaining towns of Falam, Rikhawdar, Surkhwar, Tonzang, Kanpetlet, Mindat, Matupi, Lailinpi, Rezua, Makuiieainnu, Kyindwe, and Hnaring are controlled by Chin armed resistance groups, while Paletwa Township is controlled by the Arakan Army (AA).
