Six civilians were killed, and several buildings were damaged in a junta airstrike on Lumte Village in Falam Township, Chin State, on 26 November 2024.
The unprovoked airstrike by a junta jet struck at about 10:30 am on 26 November, despite no fighting being reported in the area. It killed six people and destroyed a church, a rural clinic, and six homes
A Lumte villager said: “Six locals were killed, and several others were injured. The damage to buildings was extensive, the Baptist church, rural clinic, and several homes were completely destroyed.”
A Chin National Defence Force (CNDF)-led resistance coalition launched an offensive against junta troops in downtown Falam Town on 9 November and clashes there remain ongoing.
On 25 November, a junta airstrike hit Ver Village, near Falam Town, in an area where fighting is ongoing.
